this summer’s large work project is now beginning to gather pace…
it’s been a little while since last attempting to write something of interest on this blog, but not being able mention too much about my work until september has made updating this regularly a little tricky, but today was worth an entry and hopefully in the weeks and months to come I’ll be able to write more… perhaps I need more direction with this, but in the meantime the Sainsbury’s project continues and today I was shooting with Joy Skipper, food stylist, nutritionist, rower and inspiration to young mites like me. It never fails to be a great day and this was no exception, mostly because Joy has to be one of the most proactive people I know, with a new project around every corner and talking about them all in between images was fascinating.

Joy also founded a charity in Tanzania called Community Projects Africa and supports projects that involve schooling, vocational training, sanitation, provision of safe water supplies, education about Aids/HIV, assistance for families affected by Aids/HIV, and community projects that are backed and supported by the local people. Definitely worth a mention, as when you work hard every day it is easy to lose sight of the bigger picture and become engrossed in your own little bubble. I hope that when this project settles down it will be possible to look into some community projects too.
By the end of the day I felt inspired to organise as many projects as possible, what’s the point in resting! so, it all begins here…
